I AM a House Head Too
My favorite track... HOUSE HEAD ~ FARLEY JMK Featuring BILLY MONROE has the line ...
"When I wake up in the morning I give God the praise..... I work very hard to take care of my family cause they gotta eat and I gotta pay some bills, but when the weekend comes, but when the weekend comes, I look forward to some House Music because I'm a house head" . Love this! so very true for me
This one was so smooth I had to re-recorded it with minimal drops.
This a tribute to some of the house music played at those clubs in the 80's. Growing up in Chicago during that time was a great time for house music. There were great DJ/Prod like Ron Hardy, Frankie Knuckles, Steve 'Silk' Hurley, Chip E. and Mr. Fingers spinning parties every weekend. This little project made me appreciate their work even more.
Every Saturday in Chicago we had WBMX and the Hotmix 5 playing a house music mix and everyone had a mix tape in their boom box. Songs played in this mix were songs you would only hear in the clubs. I will admit I enjoy listening to the older house music more than I do mixing it.
This mix is dedicated to some childhood friends of mine no longer with us to hear this mix: Tonya McClendon, 'Rickman' a.k.a. Anthony Von Rickman, Victor Falls, Yusef Asad and Andre Gay. Miss you guys.
